1.
Will you ever, ever want from me, The kind of help I need when i'm on my knees? Well you'll never, ever disagree, That all I really needed should have come for free. If forever, wasn't how you see, Would dreams always fade back to reality, You think you're clever, but your abilities, Lead to no inevitability. OUTRO
2.
For the majority I see that there is no defence, Lived the dream, left home, began another youth mis-spent, A thousand days and counting it can wait until tomorrow, The novelty has ended in beg steal or borrow. CHORUS Heard that the tragedy is not how quickly it ends but how long it takes to start x 4 I wish I could say that it's funny to make you smile, Given a choice I'd hear no voice planning my exile, Expressive style to find just mind the trivial and deep, The meaning of life or the drink bought from the bar last week CHORUS
3.
Same excuse has let you off the hook, It wasn't me it was just what I took, You keep dreaming of brighter days, But you're still stuck in your own ways, Why don't you step back and take a look CHORUS Another minute goes, another day goes, here I go again, Another story goes, but it's the same old, here I go again, Although you have the highs, they disguise what lows don't, think and start again Anxiety, you've got to make a mark, Before you're left alone out in the dark, With no justice to put in place, It's the sorry state of the rat race, Look in the crowd you're just another face CHORUS
4.
Only two hours from the present to the past Still smells the same but disfunction's elapsed What I once called home has become the unknown Go and meet some friends but still no comfort zone Cos one's got married talks about their rabbit Another moans, in the wrong tax bracket, Others 10 years on are still just hanging around, It's time like these when it's crystal clear, To them I'm just someone stuck in first gear Maybe true but at least i'll make a sound CHORUS When I wake up, take me away Away from the people with nothing to say, Because when I see you, not a lot in common, Investment in time, forced upon us... x 2 Pretty soon there'll be no reason to return I wanna play with fire but I know it burns, Time to be on my own, sit without a frown, Find a third time lucky, brighter side of town An all too familiar surreal ride, The thinking starts, cross North / South divide News travels fast when there's things to hide A self confession marks the latest lesson The truth comes out after a drinking session Last man standing who gets crucified CHORUS OUTRO
5.
Is it just me who's paid the price? Wrong place, wrong time and no good advice Go ahead analyse my dreams Your guess will only be as good as mine as to what they mean It's not my wish to rise at 8.00am But for now that's how I pay my rent It's not about marriage or kids I've seen what all play and no work can do to the misfits Some of us like to alter our consciousness Another bad day is stating the obvious Some of us like to alter our consciousness Disregard the laborious CHORUS Blue Mondays, red Friday nights Office blocks to big city lights I'm not talking about human rights A little bit of money, see some sights, would be nice Shall I make it simple for you? You stay in bed to hide from the truth Your clever words obscure but not convey The messages you like to think you know about the state of play Some of us like to alter our consciousness Another bad day is stating the obvious Some of us like to alter our consciousness Disregard the laborious CHORUS OUTRO

about

Our first EP, including the self titled opening track 'Will You Ever?'... Recorded in 2009 at Axis Studios in Sheffield. It has the raw energy that you would expect from a bands first recording. We still love playing all of these tunes live!
